Tom Maiorana
Associate Professor, Design, UC Davis
Tom is the driving force behind the Wildfire Resilience games. He uses a prototyping approach to make the games interactive, fun and instructive for all parties.
Ciel Wood
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Ciel Wood has been part of the team since 2023. Drawing on her personal experiences in the Carr Fire, she has contributed to the research, game mechanics and visual design of prototypes ranging from video games to board games. She's currently working on refining workflows to help make wildfire resilience accessible to as many communities as possible.
Jessica McPeak
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Jess uses her skills with design, coding, writing, and organization to keep the project moving forward. She can be found redesigning maps, editing directions, and contributing ideas to the game. Jess is committed to making an engaging experience that puts players at the center.
Lucas Wang
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Lucas brings his experience as a board game designer (and builder) to the Wildfire Resilience project. Lucas specializes in finding ways to make the game fun, intuitive and scaleable. He is able to take complicated parts of the game and then find practical, feasible solutions that helps get the game into as many communities as possible.
